Quality Assistant / Lab Tech in Statesville, North Carolina

We are recruiting for a quality assistant / lab tech for Statesville.

Develop formulas and run benchtop samples in laboratory
Perform lab testing on finished product to ensure all products meet standards
Use computer formulation program to develop nutritional labels and ingredient statements
Ensure all products are produced to meet all regulatory specifications
Must maintain organized records of all lab records
Responsible for ensuring that all plant areas are compliant with all regulatory (OSHA, FDA, SQF) and company policies
Maintain clean work area
Will report any issues pertaining to food quality or safety to their supervisor or manager

Must be able to climb ladders up to 20'
Must be able to work in extreme temperature environments - both hot and cold
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs on occasion
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Be a team player
Be able to work various schedules
Be able to travel as required
Must attend training programs

Be able to use a computer and navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Must take and pass test for state laboratory certifications
Must have a minimum of an associates degree
